Sexual harassment case against Stevens County sees clerk Nadine Borders exonerated…
A Stevens County District Court clerk has been cleared in a sexual harassment case and cover up case against the county. According to a press release from the law firm of Moberg Rathbone Kearns, clerk Nadine Borders has been exonerated of any wrongdoing.
The lawsuit, filed by Rachel Benjamin, alleged that she was continually sexually harassed by a work crew supervisor. Stevens County Prosecutor Tim Rasmussen attempted to dismiss Benjamin’s remaining work crew days and got an order signed by Superior Court Judge Jessica Reeves. District Court judge Gina Tveit, who has also been exonerated of any wrongdoing in the case, issued her own order and accused Rasmussen and Reeves of ethical misconduct, saying Reeves was the prosecutor on Benjamin’s case before she was elected as a judge.
Reeves told The Inlander that she was not aware of a conflict of interest. More
