Benefit organized to help family
A fire Friday consumed a family’s home in Valley. The fire was reported at 3:19 p.m. and Fire District 4 responded by 3:35 p.m. to a fully-involved fire.
The home was a mobile home with attachments and was near Fire District 4’s training center in Valley. It was a total loss and fire crews were on the scene until 9:10 p.m. on Friday.
Mutual aid was provided by Fire District 1 along with help from Avista Utilities, WA State Patrol and county law enforcement.
No one was in the house at the time of the fire.
A benefit is being held for the family that lived in the home. Hillary Adams, Logan Callahan and four-year old Maicie lost everything in the fire, so community members are hosting a spaghetti feed at the Chewelah American Legion on Nov. 19 between 5-8 p.m.
There were be a silent auction at the event as well. It costs $6 for ages 12+ and $4 for those younger than 12.
