The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service, has arrested three suspects on charges related to the disappearance of Jerry Rasmussen of Valley, Washington. The suspects are awaiting extradition from Arizona to Washington state.

The 64-year-old Rasmussen was last seen on September 8, 2021, but was reported missing on Sept. 27, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) of the U.S. Department of Justice. Family and friends mounted a campaign on social media in hopes of finding Rasmussen.

More details will be forthcoming from the sheriff’s office as well as the Marshals in coming weeks. The Independent will provide updates as information is received.
