Our Sweet Mama Maupin, Adeline Mae, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Monday April 25, at the age of 92. She was married 62 years, to the love of her life, James W. Maupin, who preceded her in death, July of 2002. Together, they raised 3 children.
Addy’s fun, kind, sweet, loving heart, contagious laugh and constant smiles, will be missed by all who knew her. When anyone asked, “How are you?” Her giggle filled answer was always the same, “Fat and Sassy!”
Her constant kind, fun loving nature and positive attitude will be missed. She loved life, family, grandchildren and friends, but above all, she loved the Lord.
Adeline had many talents and gifts. She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to all her beautiful flowers.
She had a rare, special connection with all animals, and was a sight to see… She took gentle care of her birds and hummingbirds and when she fed her “Babies” in the early mornings, her gentle voice called out, “Come on babies, c’mon”…and they would land on her head, shoulders, hands and fingers.
We will truly miss our Mom and friend and will celebrate the many, many cherished moments and memories, we each shared with her.
