Indians score in every quarter to secure victory…
With starting quarterback Sam Anderson back into the fold, Colville attacked through the air and on the ground in a 28-14 victory over Meridian at the neutral site Peshastin-Dryden Sports Complex. It was a rematch from last year’s state quarterfinal win and the first victory for Colville this year.
Running back Grant Michaliszyn led the way, running for 109 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns. He scored on a 35-yard run in the first quarter, while Anderson found receiver Paul Skirko for a 53-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
Still things were tight and Meridian was tied at halftime 14-14.
In the third quarter, Anderson found Spencer Fox for a 77-yard touchdown pass to take the lead. Michaliszyn finished things off with a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
