Foulkes leads Colville with 13 points…
Fifth-seeded Colville took on fourth-seeded Newport in the loser-out round of the District 7 1A tournament looking to advance on to another day, but the Grizzlies had the same aspirations and came out on top with a 69-53 final score.
Colville found themselves in an early hole, spotting Newport a 13 point lead in the first quarter. The Indians narrowed the lead down to 8 by halftime after outscoring the Grizzlies 14-9 in the second. The two played nearly even in the third, with Newport gaining a slight one point edge, but another strong showing by Newport in the fourth put the game out of reach for Colville.
The Indians were led in scoring by Rhett Foulkes with 13 and Jory Dotts with 10 in the loss.
Colville’s season ends with the loss.
